  • Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried herbs (optional, like rosemary or thyme)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
  3. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the warm water and olive oil.
  4. Stir until the dough begins to come together, then knead gently in the bowl for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. If using, fold in the dried herbs for added flavor.
  6. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
  7. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
